DO you think that the Panthers have improved their odds of winning the Super Bowl? Not trying to start any trash talk, but teams like Philly, Washington, Dallas, are making moves and the Panthers have been pretty quiet during the offseason. As someone on the outside looking in, it just doesn't seem they have fulfilled the needs that needed to be met this offseason. Just wondering?

Let me preface this by saying I'm 110% a homer.

I definatly am surprised by our lack of activity on the "key" FA market, but I'm happy we re-signed/extended who we have, and I have a lot of faith that the Front Office is better prepared to assess the situation than I am and I have faith in them.

I hope we'll go back to the SB and win this year, but I'm confident we'll at least be back in the hunt for the NFC crown and go deep into the playoffs.

I think we are laying low and going to find affordable players that want to earn a place on a winning team for a winning coach....not to mention incentives.

How long do you wait though? I'm surprised that no move has been made to really address the secondary. I know Vincent and Taylor are out there, but for how much longer?

I would say I have concerns, but not really so much in the secondary. I was a bit panicked about that area earlier when all the FAs were going elsewhere, but then I kept thinking about the fact that we played with less then stellar guys last year and were ok. I would like to see someone solid to replace Grant because though he may not be a superstar, he was better then a lot of other guys, but that could certainly still happen even up to preseason. I think I'm a little more concerned about the Oline losing so many guys.

I think it's too early to say how we've done because players will become available even up to the cut to 53 players time.

You can call me a homer too but I think Armstead is a nice signing. He is an upgrade from Favors and if Fields comes back our front seven will rock. We will have what we had last year plus Pittman back, Armstead and Fields. If teams can't find a way to exploit our secondary they are in for a long day.

I look for us to add to our secondary before the season starts. I am hoping for a veteran free safety.
