    that's pretty solid.

I wonder how much of that's Meeks and how much of it's Fox. There have been a few rumors of Fox's involvement with the D, and I have no idea if that's the case or not. Don't guess it matters, since they're probably all gone, but it looks pretty fucking gift-wrapped for the next DC if you can retain a couple guys and get a DT.

I think a lot of it is Davidson. When we don't score in the first half, the opponent goes to kill the clock mode in the second half.

i'd try to send Smitty and Clausen to New England for a couple of their 2nd and 3rd rounders. Resign Moore and draft Luck. Smitty seems like a WR the Pats love. Too bad they already got Branch.

I might be willing to trade Smith if we got something decent for him but I really doubt the Pats would give much for him. They tend to get a lot of picks rather than give them away. The raped us on that deal to get Edwards you know.

I doubt Clausen has any trade value at this point. Maybe if Charlie Wies gets a head coaching job somewhere.....

If we can not draft Luck then we need to find a veteran QB one way or another. Let Clausen be the back up and hope he can develop into something eventually. There will probably be some veteran QBs available who are either free agents, get cut, or can be acquired via trade for a reasonable price. Carson Palmer (although he is damaged goods IMHO), McNabb, Orton, Hill, Tavaris Jackson, etc.

A veteran QB and an impact player (from our #1 pick) on the DL would make us a lot better very quickly. We are so weak at QB that it is almost futile to even play the games.
