Question about altering web pictures

    Answer me this. I am comin to understand that pictures no matter their size will take longer to display than a person might like. I have heard that you can edit a picture down in size yet the clarity of it won't be too effected for the naked eye. Is this something that IFRAN can do and could someone please explain the process

    Photoshop has a better tool. It's called SAVE FOR WEB. I use it way more than Irfanview for web images.

    If you click OPTIONS after you chose saveas on IV, you can adjust the slider to a lower percentage. I use 80 for almost everything. It's okay, but below that you really start to notice it.

    I know how to resize. Say it's 300x500 and you want to keep that same size but want to make it go from say 59k to 25k. A friend calls it stripping the picture. Basically taking away pixils.
