I don't know if Harrington is "fiery." There's holding the ball too long, and checking down too much, which was Harrington's MO in Detroit.

Wow. I had no idea the thumb was still a problem.

Could shed further light on why we are looking at these type guys, we may need better insurance than we thought.

Could be. I've actually read the PSX story now, and it seems like speculation. They say Kurt Warner was never the same after he broke his thumb. It never says Jake hasn't healed completely, that he still feels pain or weakness, or that he had any setbacks. The press is as bored as we are.

I doubt that was based on any specific knowledge about his thumb. Just sounds like speculation for the sake of helping to fill the page.

Remember, he had to wear that glove for the season finale at Nawlins. He did fairly well with it but that glove was still needced after 3-4 weeks off. Something doesn't sound right with that.

Something doesn't sound right about what? Injuries require time to heal.

Yes, injuries do certainly require time to heal. But Jake broke his thumb in 2004 and missed no time. This was reported as a sprain with MRI showing no significant damage and yet he missed 3 games and had to wear extra equipment (which he reportedly balked at) when he did come back. This may sound normal to some but doesn't sound quite right to me.
