Perhaps I'm wrong - I was a little distracted with my 9 month old daughter watching the game with me - but Vinny seemed to be throwing to the receivers at the good spots - actually in front of the crossing receiver instead of off the back shoulder, laying it on the outside/sideline where only the receiver got a chance at it, etc.

Was Arizona stacking against the run? It seemed they decided that they weren't going to get beat by Foster and Co. and got beat instead, at the end, by Vinny and Co. Well, then there was the D. Williams breakout....

I don't think there is a QB controversy either but in your opinion did VT play well enough today that if Carr struggles the next game they will pull him or will they stick with Carr if he struggles?

Carr played better against New Orleans than Testaverde did against Arizona, so I don't see it being an issue, but they're not married to him the way they were Jake. Anyone who is clearly having a bad day is liable to get pulled, but I think the fans & media will make it more of an issue than the coaches. If Carr doesn't throw a touchdown on every drive at this point, he's going to get booed.

After this game I prefer Vinny`s pocket presence over Carr`s pocket paranoia.

I remember seeing a handful of passes that Vinny made that were behind the receivers or short of where they should have been. Nobody expects the guy to be perfect, but immediately anointing him the savior of the team is very premature. I do have to wonder if Carr or Moore played the same game if they'd have gotten the same evaluation.

Yeah he was off several times.

Still - he seems like a leader. I'm not saying who should start, I'm just saying Vinnie seemed to command respect through his confidence and poise. I've never seen that type of 'poise' from Carr.

Something very calming about Vinnie. I don't think that's enough to win the start on its own, but it's a feather in his cap.

    Carr seems shell shocked.

The key word is "seems". Vinny appears has more veteran savvy than Carr, but he's a short term solution at best.

I'll definitely agree that Carr is shell shocked and I do think it's going to take some time to get out of that. I think his confidence needs work, but that's not something that can be remedied on the bench.

On the other hand, I'd rather seen Moore or Carr start against Arizona, but I'd rather see Vinny start against Indianapolis.

a few, and enough. He wasn't perfect, and we misfired on some attempts. He's still got a good ball, though, and for the most part he's got good placement. Whether he can do it for 10 more games, though, I don't know if I want to find out. I think Vinny should be kept as-needed.
