This posturing would make a lot more sense if you weren't completely familiar with me and how I talk to people. You made an ass of yourself, as you often do, and you got called on it. No amount of blustery rebuttal is going to change that or make you look any better. Just deal with it, dude.
No, no, no. You said something that was completely wrong, chipshot corrected you, you continued to babble as if you never even read his correction, and then he dropped out of the thread after making the point again. See, the difference here is that chipshot isn't confrontational. He did the same thing I often do in addressing something that is obviously stupid, but he didn't make a big deal out of it. Unfortunately my point was that unless the person making the correction does be an ass about it, people like you don't stop saying what was wrong in the first place. If people like you would acknowledge your mistakes when they're pointed out initially, asshole attitudes like mine wouldn't be necessary.
Yes, he is suckitude incarnate. Every time Carr throws a pass, a newborn baby dies. Nevermind the fact that he was solid in Houston for a bad team. Nevermind the fact that he was once talented enough to be the first pick in the draft. Nevermind that the offense struggled under Delhomme or was equally inept with Testaverde. It's all Carr's fault because he just sucks, right? Look, I detailed all his problems before the season and explained why I hoped he'd have a full season on the bench to maybe get some of those flaws sorted out, but he didn't, and it was a perfect storm that exacerbated those short-comings. David Carr is a serviceable quarterback and capable of starting in the NFL, just not for the 2007 Carolina Panthers.
Retard, I've done it lots of times. I never hide the fact that I thought LaDainian Tomlinson was an overrated prospect coming out of TCU because that was a learning experience for me. I thought he had limited ability to run inside because TCU was such an edge-oriented running game, but I was wrong both about him and about the idea that not doing something in college would preclude you from doing it well in the NFL. That's the most memorable example of me being wrong, but far from the only one.
Some? Gee, thanks for the compliment. I feel all validated and stuff.
That's not actually true. Moreover, the reason you dislike me isn't just tat I'm "a loud-mouthed prick," it's that I was "a loud-mouthed prick" in the process of showing you why you were wrong, and thus making you feel inferior. Forcing people to acknowledge their shortcomings is an easy way to be despised, but I place more value in having you end idiocy than in being liked. Maybe you wouldn't make that same choice, and that's fine, but I'm comfortable with the path that I've chosen.
I'm sure that would be a real revelation for me, especially since I've never admitted that about myself something like ten thousand times.

I had no idea he was that supposedly effective. I haven't watched the games that closely this year because they've been too depressing, but Gross never jumped out at me as someone who was stoning his man. As magnus said, perhaps his tactic of giving ground just delays the rusher long enough to avoid the sack. It still disrupts the pocket and thus the throw, but maybe it's an effective way of avoiding just getting outright beaten the way our other guys do from time to time. Oh, and his complete lack of contributions in the running game prevent me from even considering him as a reasonable case for the Pro Bowl. I'm going to hate that inevitable huge contract we give him. *sigh*
That's a fair point, as you do have to select for middle vs. outside instead of just linebacker, but Beason is still 5th in the NFL in tackles (I wonder what he's been per game since moving to MLB). Unfortunately Willis, Fletcher, Barnett, and Witherspoon also play MLB in the NFC and are near or above him in tackles. Plus Urlacher is just always going to get in. In truth, now that I think about it, Barnett and Witherspoon deserved it more.

You're an ass...you jumped into an A, B conversation and didn't 'C' your way out of it, and now you're bulldozing a tall pile of shit to try to prove you have some merit inthis conversation. Just move on to some other thread and make more friends there, dikhed, your shit is as tired as it is old.

And yes, Carr sucks. Told you couldn't do it!

If you feel soo sure you're right about Carr, I'll bet you he never is a starter in the NFL again. If you're right, I'll stop posting....if I'm right, you'll stop posting and move out of your grandmother's basement and get a real job.

I realize that you're trying to distract from your own stupidity by making this about me, but anyone can go and look at page one again. You said something remarkably dumb about Tony Gonzalez, chipshot corrected you on it, and yet you kept right on babbling as if you never even noticed that he'd proven you wrong. That's my point. That's the problem with you and people like you. Instead of trying to make this about me, take a long look in the mirror and honestly question yourself about why you didn't accept chipshot's correction in the first place. That's what you should be focusing on.
He might not ever be a starter again, which is completely irrelevant to the question. I've said for years that it's stupid for teams to draft less than elite QBs first overall in the draft, and I'm clearly right about that, but they keep right on doing it. Whether or not something is true and whether or not someone else actually follows that advice are two very different things. But again, I am the one who spelled out all of Carr's flaws before the season. You did not. So stop whining, stop trying to make yourself feel better by pretending that I'm on your level instead of galaxies above it, and learn to stop being such a douche.

You are a pathetic loser who should have learned a lesson long ago. Just go away, fly.

:hihi:Which galaxy is it, Spock....Nebulon 5?? I can't help but laugh at you for being a pathetic message board stalker, just like everyone else laughs at you. You'd think you learned a lesson years ago, but a hard head makes for a red ass, doesn't it?

Just run along to your World of Dorkcraft Guild meeting, before your grandma makes you rub her corns again.

I didn't think you'd bet on your idiotic asessment of Carr. You're a puss.
