pop up windows!!!

Anyway to stop this? It's ridiculous on some sites. Used to be mainly porn sites...but now it's everywhere. There has got to be software you can download to disable this. Right?

try adsubtract. i hear that works.

i hate popups -- i hate all the ads. the problem is that the click-through rate (ratio of someone clicking on an ad to how many people see the ad) is so poor, advertisers try anything they can.

if you aren't target advertising, you're probably skipped over.

Well you can turn off the pop ups if you have windows XP

Tools --> Internet Options --> Advanced

I have adsubtract and it doesn't take care of all popups. I think they have a work around. But I'm not using any pay version either.

You can turn off JavaScript, but then some websites don't work.
