Who do you think Fox will start - not who you think will start?

I'm going with Vinny. It's comical - but if he earned the respect coming off 2 ( abbreviated ) days of practice, I have to think Fox will lean towards him with a bye week to prepare.

I'm not smart enough to make the decision, or pretend like I can, but i have watched Fox's tendencies in the past, and he likes smart, safe players. It's my opinion that Vinny fits that description more than David Carr.

I'd go with that, mainly if the respect factor weighs in VT's favor, except:

VT probably cannot hold up and is more suited to spot duty.

We have a lot invested in Carr, and looking ahead to next year he may be all we have as we don't know how Jake will respond to the surgery. Carr backing up an entrenched starter is one thing, being relegated to backing up a 43 year old who's been on the team less than a week is a different matter, Carr might not take that too well.

Big picture I think we have to go with Carr.

If things work out a certain we can totally avoid controversy. Say for instance Carr isn't healed enough to practice during the bye so VT starts the Colts game and fucks it up or gets hurt. We dodge the controversy bullet.

I believe Carr will get the first shot at it after the bye week if he's healthy. Fox is not the type to let a guy lose his job because of an injury. He may surprise me on this one though, because this is really a new situation for him. Either way, Carr must do better to keep the job...there's no doubt in my mind that Fox will pull him if he doesn't start producing points.

I think he goes with Carr because it will make the organization look bad if the only guy they signed in free agency sucks so bad that they can sign a guy off the street who is better.

Carr starts if healthy... it's not even a consideration

our team can't put out the kind of effort it takes to make up for the old man every fucking week, and there's a big difference between the Cardinals & the Colts

It will take as much effort to win with Carr as it does with Vinny. It will take that much effort to win period.

We are going to be hard pressed to beat the Colts regardless of who plays at QB. The only real hope we have is for Peppers and Jenkins to bring their A game and be in Manning's face all day.

200 yards rushing would not hurt either. Fox needs to challenge the line like he did last year vs Atlanta.
