When you play(ed) sports, what's your jersey number and why?

Mine was 92 (I was Reggie fan since he came into the league. We didn't have a 91 jersey when he started, so I chose the closeest thing 92... when he switched to 92, I was good to go.)

My freshman year of high school, I had to wear 72 because they didn't have any jersies in the 90's.

When I played Basketball or anything else where I had to pick a lower number, I was 34 for Walter Payton.

In baseball I wore #10 for Ron Cey (3rd baseman for the Dodgers in the 70's--I'm old)

Football - Park leagues through middle school I was a QB and wore #10. In high school I played TE and wore 83 (graduating year)

Softball - 34 1/2 (half of 69)

my baseball jersey would have been 24 had I followed through...didn't really care

however, my gameworn/personalized Les Miller is 69, because Les wore 69 so that's what came on it. The shame is it looks like I planned it that way.

21, all sports, for Roberto Clemente. Many could hit for average, power and had a cannon for an arm. Died way too young, doing good for others.

Second choice was 32, for Franco Harris.

Needless to say, I grew up near Pittsburgh, PA...

#87 for football, I don't know how I got that number though. Coach gave it to me Freshman year and it just stuck with me until my last game.

And I wore #2 in basketball; same number as one of my favorite players Larry Johnson. As you can tell I'm quite young.

Football - #44 (FB/HB/CB)
-- 4 was always my luck number but it was reserved for QBs and Kickers. So I took the next best thing with 44

Baseball - #7 (C, 2B)
-- Mantle's number... I didn't even realize it though until it was poined out much later
