good lord, it was a serious question and it is exactly the strategy we used

thats why I said earlier that the problem isn't in the approach we took it was in bad scouting/bad luck

It wasn't a question. You were trying to tell me what I said and that I'm being contradictory. It's really quite amazing because you're trying to correct Rez and I for saying things that you're saying.

It was approach. While Nelson = scouting, Brzezinski never was anything. Scouting also got us Wharton and Reyes. Our approach meant spending less on a broken down Meadows, keeping an underserving Brzezinski, and buying a number of hasbeens and neverwillbes at bargain prices. That's not the approach I'm suggesting. And yes, it was the approach.

    That hurts...
On Nelson, seems I remember Jenkins being a highly questionable pick until he heated up. I'm gonna hold my judgement on Nelson 'til this time next year.

Some thought Jenkins was questionable because he was rated 5th round by some sites. The end result is that once he worked out, he showed how quick and strong he was, and he jumped into a solid first day player.

Then again some had nelson rated first day. But as a center.

Jenkins questions were more about only having one good season, dedication, ect. His measurables were exactly the same as the #3 overall pick, Gerrard Warren.

and ironically, much better than Warren. Funny how many good DTs there were and the top one busted.

Yeah. And it isn't like Warren didn't have charachter concerns, his just got overlooked for putting a couple of seasons together at Florida.

I wanted Lamont Jordan instead of Jenkins. I was wrong but I still think Jordan is a good player who will shine if he ever gets a shot to start.
