I look for some hard fought close games with the possible exception being the Steeler game. I could see that game getting away from Cinci, but the other games I am more confident in them being close.

This should be a great game, with a big play (or big mistake) being the difference.

    Bucs 21
    Redskins 16

I think the Skins are too banged up to pull off the win in Tampa.

    Patriots 27
    Jags 24

A close one that the Jags almost grab. Almost.

    Steelers 20
    Bengals 16

Steelers pound out a win in Cincy.

I'm try this... No scores though. I did a decent job the last time I did a playoff prediction. That was two years ago when the Panthers went to the Super Bowl and I only lost 1 game.

    1st round
    Panthers over Giants
Panthers are able to stop Barber and win this one with the passing game.

    Redskins over Bucs
The Redskins shoulda won the last game. They're playing better than Tampa AND they have a chip on their shoulder

    Patriots over Jaguars
I agree this game will be closer than expected. The Jaguars will come in with a chip on their shoulder, but experience in playoff games will help the Pats.

    Bengals over Steelers
This is a VERY close game, but I feel the Bengals pull this out. With a solid game from Chad Johnson. He seems to want this one bad.

    2nd Round
    Panthers over Bears
This game reminds me a lot of the Panthers/Philly or Panthers/Dallas matchup 2 years ago. The Panthers win against a team that in the regular season embarassed them. The inexperience of Rex Grossman hurts the Bears in this game.

    Redskins over the Seahawks
I know I know I'll be accused of being a homer for picking the "dream scenario", but I'd pick whoever comes out of the Tampa/Washington game to win. I still don't feel Seattle has played anyone this year and they'll be upset early.

    Colts over Patriots
If New England was healthier I'd say they would pull a shocker out and upset the Colts, but the Colts finally get past the Pats.

    Bengals over Broncos
Here's a nice AFC upset. The Broncos won't see what hit them.

    NFC Championship
    Panthers over Redskins
Panthers pull out a VERY close game over Washington. The Panthers Defense steps up and wins a low scoring game.

    AFC Championship
    Colts over Bengals
Manning finally makes it to his Super Bowl.

    Super Bowl
    Panthers over Colts
I'm not explaining this one, but I've just got a feeling.

like I said its a gut feeling. In the past the Panthers have been a tough match-up for the Colts. I think this is because the Panthers play a similar style to the Patriots. As I said earlier I think the Patriots would upset the Colts if they were healthy, which the def. AREN'T. That's why I think Carolina could upset them.

    - Stop the run, and make Manning and co. beat us. A goddamn simple formula. Gang up on Osi and force Strahan to beat Gross. We can push their front line around all day, if we want to. NY's secondary does not scare me, AT ALL, and Smitty could be in for a big day. I even see Colbert waking up and making some important grabs. A few stalled drives in the redzone will keep it close, but the defense should be strong enough to fininsh the job.

    Bucs 21
    Redskins 16
    - All of this Joe Gibbs talk reminds me of the Parcells hype two years ago. It pains me to pick Tampa, but I get the feeling that Washington doesn't have much left in the tank. They struggled to beat Philly with the postseason on the line. Tampa has the best defense in the NFL, and they have the secondary to eliminate Moss. Skins will score late, after Tampa has had their way all afternoon.

    Jaguars 20
    Patriots 17
    - Jacksonville will pull it out on the road. NE has been able to cover up problems on defense w/ a soft schedule down the stretch, but those problems will reappear against a physical Jag offense. A lack of playmaking ability for Jax in the passing game will keep the Pats in it until the end, but J'ville should get just enough output.
**The mystique of New England, the aura of Brady and Belichick, and all of that crap makes no difference when the game starts.

    Steelers 17
    Bengals 28
    - Cinncy sealed the NFL North by pushing around Pittsburgh, at Heinz Field. I expect the Bengals playmakers to reemerge at home, and I just don't think Pittsburgh can get enough out of Roethlisberger to win in January. Going with the Bengals is shaky, but I see their recent poor play as an aberration. They are still the better team here.
