We were safe, but we also had some drops, Jake missed a couple, like that fade route, missed on some third and shorts.

Cleveland was brining no blitzes and playing a safe zone, so I don't really mind our dink and dunk approach. We were able to run the ball, and that was the difference. Forcing the ball down the field and getting a turnover could have turned the game into Cleveland's favor.

Did we ever convert a third down?

0 for 11, I think. Should be able to keep a hold on that worst in the league stat.

Other than the penalty on 3rd and 13 toward the end, no, I don't think so.

    2 runs stopped short

    2 droped passes.

3 miss-fired throws to open recievers

    2 pass defended

1 pass complete short of first down

1 sack/take time off the clock bootleg

To have that stat and still win is unusual.

No turnovers, and we forced three. 100 yard rusher. It would have been more unusual to lose with those stats.

True, but strat is absolutely right about the odds for going 0-fer on third down. That's something we desperately need to correct.

If Smith hadn't dropped three we could have scored at least twice more.

Smith was off his game today. He normally makes those catches and we score at least one more TD.
