Safe bet is to disregard the pick at the end of the 3rd. I don't know that anyone's deserving. I think the next set of rounds are in the 5th? and obviously not until the end. So it may be possible for you to go to 160 without worry. I believe they're announced a week before the draft, possibly earlier.

Some reason I see Ed Reed here. Not that that's a good value, but they've got two S holes. They could easily sign one or two before the draft, but until they do...
...anyway is this to replace Hopkins? Or Miller? I'm not sure I see it as the biggest need.

I could see it. I just don't know why they traded for JJ Johnson then.

Interesting. Makes sense but I still think he's stiff and show to react laterally...will work if they have Boulware strong side.

Why are the Steelers so worried about ILB? And why are they looking so expensively? They have two stars, and Porter would have been if there weren't two already. The fourth can be exceptional in one way but doesn't have to be a first round talent. As a matter of fact I'd probably put Trev Faulk with them, late 2nd possibly.


40 Jacksonville Terrance Metcalf OG Mississippi

it's a nice line. Since the depth at OLB and DT are terrible at the 40 pick based on what you have going above this pick, I can't say a bad word about it. Still I'm tempted to say Caldwell would go instead. I can see Coughlin going with the lines again, but if it's not D or WR he's really, really secure with his job security. I'd want the receiver to make the O hotter (and despite my dislike for Caldwell, he seems to fit IMO)

With Houston taking Foster a round earlier, Wells would be ripe for us in the third. In fact, I don't see any other choice for us. The value is just bad for anyone else.

That was my thinking. They need to get above Buffalo, and Detroit is making a little smoke about taking McKinnie themselves. And in the end, everybody is happy. The best kind of trade that makes choices easy.

I'd probably take Henderson or Bryant before either, but I'm thinking Dungy sees another Sapp in Sims.

Don't know, but I'd rather spend a pick on Rasheed than paying a lot of money to Kevin Hardy. I don't get it either.

They seem intent upon keeping McCardell and Smith, so a reciever seems unlikely. Get the line in shape, that's what's killed them. Taylor and Brunnell are taking a pounding.

4.6 on a slow track. His combine earased those concerns. Pitt's not a great fit, they have people in those positions, but they are always good about developing underneath.
