I won't rag you on Larry Johnson.

But sure, if you want to go there, most Michigan OTs and OGs are similar to their past players. But look at the difference between Hutchinson and Baas. It's vast. Look at Jansen, Backus, Runyan, Long, Mo Williams. All guys who essentially replaced each other. All guys who could be summed up in roughly the same twenty words. But all very different at closer looks, in their base strengths.

I didn't like the pick at all. Still don't. And I'm pretty sure it will continue to leave a bad taste in my mouth until he proves his reputation and first impressions wrong.

definitely sign him to a 4 year. Hate using RFA.

Jarrett reminds me a lot of last year's 2nd, a supposed reserve who wanted to start despite the odds.

If we have anything else wrong with Smitty early in the season like last year? We're covered. Slower, but covered. And we have something for that in Carter anyway. It calls any future Key bluff. And I'm guessing we use him enough that he's on the field enough to be considered a starter anyway.

A good agent would probably insist on a four year deal for a second rounder. A team could protect him at a discount.

To get him, this was the best way. If he's able to be motivated, well, he already is. He should have a big chip on his shoulder and be ready to make some plays.
