Phuck Philly, and Phuck their Phans

One of the big problems with people such as yourself is that you absolutely insist on taking a rather minor mistake and making it a gargantuan issue of the type that inevitable tags you with the scarlet "Moron" for the rest of your life. And in regards to this case, you're arguing with the most self-righteous, sanctimonious bastard on these forums. I, of all people, am well known for putting integrity above everything else, perhaps foolishly so. I'm the one who always complains when one of our players (whether good or not) is kept on the team after misdeeds, and I'm the one who always brings up that Richardson always talks about holding players accountable and yet never does so. So basically, I have a very long and very proven track record of doing exactly what you claim I wouldn't.

Wow, that's a brilliant statement considering that you said "one of the few teams in the NFL that would stand up to TO." That's the part you were ridiculously wrong about. The Eagles didn't stand up to Owens at all. They knew what he was and yet conspired with him against his Baltimore deal. They also put up with his myriad antics time and time again until it finally reached a point where the players themselves were the ones who put an end to it. The team did nothing, because the team had no principles.

I don't know that you're necessarily the one to be making such judgments, especially considering the fact that if you killed yourself right this second, there isn't a person in the entire earth who would even notice, much less shed a tear.

anyway, Philly got what they wanted. I'm still baffled the league gave Philly Owens, and baffled that he was relatively well behaved this long.

 

I'm surprised more people haven't brought this up already. If this isn't a beautiful picture of the Madden jinx, I don't know what is.
