    I must be the only Madden fan left.

    I think he often makes VERY good points when it comes to the game of football, but his hype machine is just as bad as every other announcer. I think it comes with the territory. I can't wait to get him away from Michaels next year. Al is the fucking king of overblown hype. At least Madden will tell you how a 2 deep zone affected the last play. I mean, he throws in some bullshit too, but for my money, have Madden on the color. He brings more to the game than anyone not named Aikman.

    I like hearing John do his John thing and he is the best color guy in the game right now. I am an old school Raider fan and remember Madden the coach. Some of the crap he supports in the name of the ABC company ratings line just drives me crazy sometimes. That one last night where Vick ran and then stepped out of bounds and got a little extra shove that drew the flag. It was a weak call by the refs. But then John just made me sick when he started whining like Theisman about the need to protect the QBs. I mean the dude ran for like 25 yards on that play. He was just as fair game as anyone else. But Vick is a made man by the ratings people and must be protected at all costs.

    I cannot think John wants to live in a football world where QB's can run 10 yarda a carry because nobody is allowed to hit them as hard in the open field or make a good play to force the out of bounds which is what that play was. But as the ABC TV guy and owner of Madden Sports, he must protect his money guys. That is the part I dislike about Madden these days.

    the falcons defense won this game and as much as i hate to admit it, they will be a force to be reckoned with this season.
