I made settings that ended up being more realistic and this is what happened -

Poser Cannon Boy was available at 9 (probably realistic)
Those critical picks 39 thru 132 were frustrating because someone that many of us covet would go right before our pick, so it might be one of those drafts
Would rather gamble at 93 on Hooker than gamble on nick cannon at 9 or trade up

What would it take to move up to Arizonas #3?

Carr looking like a bargain after Daniel Jones gets $40 million per year.

That is why I mentioned Darnold a while back as a bridge and the dollars to get him

Who knows how New Orleans affords what they do

If Vegas takes Garrapolo and Atlanta takes Lamar, I guess we have Baltimore right in front of us instead of Atlanta, but still, maybe here will be a 4th QB to be had staying at 9. Which one.....

Looking at the 2023 draft pick value sheet even giving both 2nds and #9 it still isn't enough

They keep kicking the can down the road for decreasing returns. And they've done it for so long they can't even blow it all up and take a year of dead cap and cheap contracts. Dennis Allen is driving a car crash in slow motion.

If Stroud is good enough to make the Panthers a consistent winner from year one then I would make a serious offer. The rookie deal means the world if the QB is good enough.

I'm liking it except for one pick.
I would go Gonzalez or Witherspoon at #9.

I suppose if there ever was a year to trust the coaching staff on a QB, this would be the one. Heck, we have a former QB and head coach at the helm. A former QB at QB coach, and a senior assistant who has been head coach for Manning and others.

So if we trade up, we assume he has the potential, if we stand pat, we assume the juice ain't worth the squeeze.

I trust the staff every year. It's been tough sledding during the Rhule era, but I have high hopes for this current group.
