Julius Peppers is the #11 player in the whole league. They ranked the top 50. Poor New Orleans had no one in the top 50 :imagestor

Panthers | Still the Saints' daddy
    Thu, 11 Aug 2005 11:59:33 -0700

Despite reports to the contrary, the AP is confirming that the Carolina Panthers still own the New Orleans Saints. "You really can't argue with that," said Saints defensive back Mike McKenzie. "I mean, even when we held on by a thread to beat Carolina in week 17, I was torched by Muhammad. And don't even get me started on what they did to us back in December in the dome."

Aaaah. Only a month away. I can't wait.

"they both still ended up in the same place ".....Yeah, that's right. The Saints missed the playoffs because of a missed Doug Brien FG in the Rams/Jets game. The Panthers missed the playoffs because..............? anyone? anyone? Because they couldn't beat the Saints.

I love it. It's typical of a Saint fan to conveniently overlook the fact that for the better part of three years, the Panthers have owned the Saints. Some of the games have been closer than others, but in all our wins against the Aints, we DOMINATE the game in the trenches, always shutting down the run, and always running the ball for 150 yards or more.

Great win in January. You came in to our house, caught us with 14 guys on IR, on a day when we were at our absolute worst....and you won by three, by virtue of the fact we didn't have about 2-4 seconds on the clock to spare.

Remember this....you WERE up 21-10 with 5 minutes to play. You blew that lead....then, you punted with a minute to go, and pinned us at the 1 YL. In less that 50 seconds, with no timeouts, the great Saints let that mediocre offense of ours march 60 yards downfield. We had a chance at the end, whereas most teams would have put that game away. That's what I took from that game, not the fact that you knocked us out of the playoffs. Truth be told, we knocked us out of the playoffs well before that day.

And remember, WE went into YOUR house in December, and destroyed you. Forced turnovers, took Deuce out of the game. We ran the ball at will with--get this--NICK GOINGS. So, theorhetically, we knocked you out of the playoffs as much as you knocked us out. THEY ALL COUNT, BUDDY.

Congrads on the win, though. It was only 26 months overdue.

I am of the opinion that Michael "Look Ma No Gravity" Vick knocked us out of the playoffs the week before.
