I'm starting to get the bad feeling.

Here's what Fox said today:

It's very good. I've been impressed with all of our guys. They've worked hard in the meeting rooms, then hard in the afternoons watching the tape and learning from their mistakes and then carrying it over into the next day with new installation. Mentally, I've been very impressed. Until we get into pads and see the physical part of it in camp with any lineman, the jury's still out.


That don't sound good. If Pep was impressing, he'd be bragging. Sounds like Peppers is maybe even losing his starting spot. "The jury's still out".

Yes, because when Fox was asked about other players in the same interview, he answered in detail about that player.

In this answer, he said"its very good", and then talked about the line as a whole, and concluded with 'the jury's still out'.

This, coupled with the rumor last week perpetuated by Pasquarelli have me a bit concerned.

Not that I'm necessarily RIGHT, just paranoid.

Has pasquarelli been to any of the camp sessions? Why would other players on the team run Peppers down, the way it was reported by Pasq.? I think if he was dawged out by any teammates it was probably by some of his competition on D-line. I can't imagine that the coach would let his team criticize teammates in the media. That makes me worry about Fox, and his ability to control his team.

Pasquerelli basically said some player told him that JP has been manhandled by Terry on occasion.

As far as Coach Fox's comments go, they have go careful politician written all over them. He cannot afford to be overly enthusiastic about Peppers with the negotiations ongoing concernig Williams. I mean what can he say " JP is the greatest thing since sliced bread and the rest are wasting thier time competing for his position"?

Great point. hadn't thought of that.

I can;t help but to be skeptical about Peppers, conmsidering our 1st round history. Hopefully he'll be 'the one', like keanu in the matrix.
