The Panthers could just draft Pat White instead of trading for a QB like Smith.

Gross is working overtime on it, even if Peppers isn't.

If I were the coaching staff I would definitely be willing to use him a little differently in order to keep him. We might not want to switch to a 3-4 just for him but we can certainly let him stand up some.

I don't think it's a matter of being able to just let him stand up or move around in a 4/3 defense (thus trying to make it a 3/4).

It would be cool though, if they could work on the D and make it a part time 3/4, but they'd have to change some things up front when they do that. And I'm not sure that wouldn't complicate things a bunch. But if we could be versatile enough to make switches in games, or change from game to game, it would definitely be different and much less predictable. Might be able to get a better rush that way because of the confusion, as long as it's the other team that's confused.

And our secondary was some confused looking mutherfukers last year, especially in nickel/zone.

Am I completely wrong or isn't him dropping back using him ore like a 3/4 OLB? If so why use him more like that when thats sort of what is limiting him purely applying pressure?

    RFA?

One of the analysts on ESPN said with the un-capped year that guys that got Franchised Tagged this year would be RFA next year? Or is that just for young players? If that’s true then pep would still have a chance of being a panther. With Hansworth signing that huge deal that’s one team down and 3 to go for trading him.

RFA goes to 6 years instead of 3 in the uncapped year, so peppers wouldn't be RFA.
