And also a safety. Were the officials on glue? It looked obvious to me Manning was still in the pocket, easily within the grasp of Peppers and threw to an area where there were no receivers. In my book thatt should be a sack...or intentional grounding. You add that he was in the endzone when he did it, that spells safety!

i'll watch the tape again tonight, but if i remember correctly, the ball landed near the feet of a giant receiver. i thought it was a good job of manning to avoid the sack with Pep all over him.

My bad. I was going off during the game. I didn't see any Giants receivers, but they must have been there. I need to go back and look at that play again.

 

There was a wideout out there, unfortunately. Pep's gotta throw Manning to the turf in that situation.

Still, in the position Manning was in, he had a hell of a damn throw to get the ball out to the wide-out. Very impressive arm strength on that play.
