I still don't get why people are saying that Goodell let them off light. When is the last time you heard of a team forfeiting its first round pick? I can't ever recall it happening, although I guess it has. That's huge, and certainly much bigger than a short suspension unless that also meant that Belichick couldn't coach them during the week.

And as for Wilson, a coach being shipped HGH is like a teacher having porn at school. You just can't have that because of the potential exposure. It's also worth noting that HGH is not an accepted treatment for diabetes, and in fact has been known to make diabetes worse, so he might have been full of crap with that excuse.

I think I was the first to post that the rumor was a second round selection would be posted and you called bullshit? I agree a 1st is huge even though the Pats have made a living finding gems in later rounds. Coaches should be held to a higher standard and the commish warned everyone on the 6th of September not to do it. What happened? Less than a week later Belicheat gets caught. He is still the best coach in the biz IMO but he should have been suspended at least a week. Robert Kraft ought to step in and do it.

Didn't the Panthers lost a first round pick for talking to Capers?...And it seems like the Patriots did when they got Bellicheat.

I think he should have got no less than a 4 game suspension. By getting the fine, it won't be news in 4 weeks. Had he missed 4 games, it would have been news much longer and sent a louder message.

Maybe that's why he chose the fine. It's embarrassing for the NFL, and Goodell could just want it to go away. There's just too many stories going on right now that aren't more about the games, and we only complete week 1.

No, and the Patriots offered a first round pick for Belichick which is far from the same thing as being forced to forfeit one. Teams regularly trade first round picks for players or sometimes coaches, but I can't remember anyone having it taken away from them.

I believe it was a third for contacting Capers while the Steelers were still playing in the post-season. We were concerned that a college might offer him a HC gig.

I have never even heard of you yet I know you are a moron. Every team steals signals you fucking twit and the fact that the Patriots got caught diminishes nothing.

There isn't a team in the league that doesn't have spotters in the stands and sidelines doing exactly what the Patriots were doing. And what about Miami last year taking audio of Brady's audibles so they knew every play the next meeting? Did you miss that or are you just praticing selective morality like the rest of the idiots in this thread?

And what about all the Panthers on HGH during the superbowl? Did you forget that or are you just practicing selective morality again?

Were you outraged when Lawyer Malloy stole the Patriots playbook and gave it to the Bills helping them to a 31-0 win in which Bills players said they knew every play the Patriots ran? NE only went on to win the SB that year and punish the Bills by the same score the 2nd meeting so I'm positive the Bills just won the first meeting fair and square.

Get your head out of the sand and get off your soap box you ignorant piece of shit.

You're obviously too stupid to realize that there is a difference between monitoring the signals keeping handwritten notes and direct video taping of the signals. One is against the rules, the other is not. Guess which the Pats were using? Don't you think that advance knowledge of blitzes would be enormous to a QB? Simply check your notes for when blitzes occurred, match it to the signals on the tape, and show Brady (or another offensive player) EXACTLYwhat to look for. Instant effective half time adjustment, something the Pats have gained a rep for being pretty good at. Now we see how they do it.

HGH? No. Steroids were speculated based on the Dr. Shortt prescriptions but I don't think any use was ever proven or admitted. Totally unlike this case where a violation of rules is not in doubt.
