Tarnished the Pats legacy. They should add an asterisk next to every victory they've had under BB. He is now legitimately 1-0 in his career.

 

No, they win so often because they're better than the other team. I never suggested that stealing signals gave them a significant advantage, but you can't allow teams to set up camera crews on the opposing sidelines. You agree, right? Unless you can prove everyone is doing it, you need to accept the fact that Belichick is a cheating ************ (literally, he's a ************) and move on.

 

Every team is doing it. Most teams have employees whos only job is to coordinate how to steal signals. It has been a part of the game forever. Last year Miami got busted recording Brady's audibles and used them in the following matchup, which is also illegal, BTW.

The difference here is that the Patriots and BB have been so dominant that it is just an opportunity for every jealous asshole to pile on a winner.

The Comish steped in this year becasue with the technology available now it was getting out of control.

 

It's not the fact they were stealing signals, like you said, EVERY team does that, it's all part of the game...it was the manner in which they did it...my understanding is that you can't use electronic devices to steal signals.

 

Stealing signals isn't the issue. Nothing illegal about that. The videotaping of coaches was.

Yep. And BB still did it, against the guy who knew where the bodies were buried. He got caught, and deserved the penalty they got. So I don't know why you are bitching.

He's not arguing whether or not they deserved the penalty. Of course they did. But they still dominated the Chargers, which indicates for now that the signal stealing played a VERY VERY small part of any previous victories/domination.

 

Most reasonable people didn't believe it was giving them a great advantage, at least not in game where the spying was taking place. It would be used more for future games.

It still tarnishes their image. That they cheated despite having such a great team doesn't mitigate that.

 

I love it how the media wants to give the Pats a free ride because they convincingly beat the Chargers. Like one has anything to do with the other.

Im not gonna try and say we would have won the SB because apparently half our team was cheating and on Roids anyway back then.

But BB cheated, the Pats cheated. They are also a very good team that looks like the best team they've ever assembled yet. But it bothers me that a team that good would go to such extents to try and cheat. And Bob Krafts interview was shamefull i thought.
