    JAKES NEW CONTRACT

    >>>>"the Panthers clearly felt like they had seen enough in him to sign him to a two-year contract worth $4 million, a modest figure by NFL starting quarterback standards"<<<<

Jake will be getting a raise before the beginning of next season. How much is the man going to cost us?

    Educated guesses . . .

We're not going to develop projects, either.
And yeah, Steve Reed needs to wear the dunce cap for a while. "Duh" is a good title for the piece.

And no, dammit, the moral of the story isn't that we should draft QB after QB in the fifth round and wait for one to pan out.
The moral of the story is that you have to have someone smart enough to know what's going on, with enough physical talent and the ability to use it, as well as the physical and mental maturity to adjust to everything that'll come at him.
