Might be close all first half long due to inspired D play by Houston at home. That pistol formation and some unconventional designed runs might surprise Snow until halftime adjustments.
Lindsey and Cooks will get the bulk of yardage and both can make plays. They will have a scheme designed to get the ball out of Mills hands quickly. Look for screens, outlets to both backs, and quick underneath routs.
They are going to go after Darnold. I think Sam could get rattled by pressure early on and gift wrap a Texan TD. .. But CMC will get rolling and panthers will eek out a lead by HT. Mills will fold in the second half and it should open up into a 17+ pt romp headed by a panthers defensive score.
Solid game for CMC on the ground especially. .. Then Sam can sharpen up that PA (for tougher opponents down the line).
Defensively play short zone early and bait them into having rook drop back and pass. In the 2nd half when he is forced to push the ball downfield panther pressure will rock that rook.
Another BIG game for front seven. Contain Cooks and stay focused when they try screens and tricky shit from pistol.

    Panthers 34 - Texans 16

The panthers historically have regularly been beaten by rook QBs, first start QBs and backups making a start.
