Dowdle seems to have thrown his best punch this year. The offensive line is good until they need to pass block. The defense can't get pressure with four.

He was good last week too. I think he's won their starting job next season.



This loss doesn't feel as shameful as the first one. The Saints aren't the God awful team we thought they were in November. They play hard and they still have some good players. It's a big missed opportunity, though. We had a ten point lead and couldn't cash in the win. Frustrating shit.

 

More pass rush in the draft is needed.

Bryce at the current cap hit should stick around. Keep building and if he stays this up and down maybe you catch the rehab guy at the right time or another good vet shakes loose or you bet on the draft again. I'd like better a backup than dalton if only so the team.isnt totally sunk in event of injury there.

I'm good with canales- I think there's still some growth potential there- and Dan up top.

 

I can see them adding QB competition. Bryce has improved, but not to the point where you'd stake your job on him. Regardless of how this season finishes, expectations will be higher next year. Tepper will want to win and expect to win. You can't let QB sink the ship.


Canales has the right temperament for this job and this owner. His playcalling frustrates me, though. Sometimes it's okay to just keep running the ball dude.

 

Ransom's horrific penalty is going to bother me for years. I was listening on the radio so I didn't see how egregious it was, nor did I fully understand how horrible the Saints play call was. Unbelievable. Even if you get that game to overtime and run out the clock for a tie you're still in great shape.

 

I didn't watch or listen to the game any at all. I kept up sporadically with gamecast online. I was feeling ok about the game once that drive started the third. I came back after the game to read about the choke. Shough's 2 best games so far with yardage and completion percentage have both been against the Panthers. He has been sacked 19 times in the last 5 games. If NO can get their OL fixed then they could be some trouble in the division.
