Panthers vs Saints Running Commentary

This franchise should really stop trading up.

 

Bryce makes it hard for me to keep apologizing for him when he's taking 15 yard sacks and throwing passes directly to DBs. I don't understand what the hell that is. He didn't do that at Alabama.

 

Why would you ever feel the need to apologize for Bryce? Even very gifted small of stature people are going to struggle in a big man's game. As we all can see, Bryce isn't all that gifted. He is not freakishly fast or strong for a 5'10" 195 pound man. Now Morgan or Canales or the scouting department should get the podium apology tour. No team fan should feel bad or guilty because of the actions of others. The Panthers owe the fans. It's not the other way around.

 

That roughing the passer bailed out a particularly bad one.

 

I am not sure Webster has the leadership capabilities for a winning franchise QB.

I suspect they are in the neighborhood of is physical capabilities.

 

Normally you'd bench a QB who's playing like this, but where do they go? Dalton looked washed up and generally annoyed to be starting against Buffalo. I don't think he's up for it anymore. Mike White isn't getting any reps as the QB3. Bryce is still probably the best option for this season.


It's rough. We just have to hope that his late season form last year can reemerge.
