Panthers vs Lions Running Commentary

Today was the third time this season Atlanta lost a game in which they had the lead or were tied in the final 30 seconds of the 4th quarter.

That’s impressive shit.

 

So we face two more turds on the road, Cleveland and Tampa. Both teams have lots of talent. I have zero faith that we win both, and I think that's reasonable based on how we've looked on the road. I'll be very optimistic and say that's a split. Then the Saints will likely be trying to clinch home field week 17, so good luck with that. Puts you at 2-6 on the road.


Why the fuck should I be interested? Honestly? I've paid my fucking dues, sitting in a frigid upper deck during a 1-15 season. Call me back when you have a team that can compete for a Super Bowl. I don't want any part of your CONSECUTIVE WINNING SEASON Parade. I don't give a shit.

It was just such a bizarre game. You throttle them on the first drive with a 90 yard march. Gano suddenly shanks everything. Funchess melts down and gets the yips. Cam doesn’t scramble, or pull it down for any carries. Actually thought the defense did a good job of settling down, but we kept losing field position and it didn’t produce shit on offense until last 10 minutes.

Wins are all that matter. If we won it, those problems still existed. Having a kicker go off the reservation for the whole game in a close contest is crippling. We’re pretty lucky we haven’t experienced that a whole lot.

 

I’ll still take a playoff berth. It’s the NFL, weird shit happens.

 

That's fine. Playoff participation T Shirts are always nice and cozy. I'll turn my focus towards what we need to do to close the gap on New Orleans and LA.

 

I didn't watch. Been on the road all day. I caught the end on the radio. Sounds like I should just delete it from my DVR without watching?

 

You should sit in an uncomfortable wooden chair, alone, and watch the game with the volume turned on max.

 

I don’t think Ron’s irreplaceable. A lot of shit happens between now and January.

 

You never want to go on the road and throw the ball 40 times, run the ball 16 times in a game that was always a one possession difference.
