it'd be nice to steal one from Atlanta at home. We have no business doing so, but it'd be nice, and if we can get an efficient, 250 yard/1 TD Newton performance with a couple deep shots at just the right time, and an otherwise fairly conservative gameplan, we can keep up with them. They did nothing interesting to beat us - no big plays on offense, and got three gimme INT and forced two fumbles (one of which was the very improbable Peters INT), while we only made one play - Johnson's sack.

Newton is being a lot more careful with the ball, which obviously helps. It's killed some big play potential, and we have to get some of that back, but it doesn't have to be like the first quarter of the season - where we started 10/15 on deep balls and kept throwing them when the luck ran out.

Dunta Robinson can play some in man if they want, but no one plays man against Newton anymore because he'll just wait you out, break contain, and get 15 yards. Robinson has struggled as a Falcon, and good. Franks doesn't scare me, I don't know how much Hayden has contributed, but he's hurt. Owens has been their nickel before, he's nothing special, but he does have some experience. They don't have anything behind that, so it might be worth seeing (especially if Olsen is still struggling, like last week, with what might be a small injury) if you can split a TE out and force them uncomfortably into having to use four DBs near the LOS. You either get Decoud having to play shorter, which works out in general, and Moore covering the middle at 221 lbs, or Decoud is out there alone and Moore is susceptible deep. And we can run on that, too.

Like to see the TE more involved, Smith has to be a factor earlier, run the ball and be efficient. On D, hope Turner is out and stay in your gap. Earn some roster time for next year, Neblett.

Fuck the Falcons. I hope Cam shoves it so far up their ass they can't shit right for a week. Gotta keep Michael Turner off the field.

Maybe somebody should at least make an effort to cover Roddy White

Jordan Gross being out today is a massive blow. We're gonna struggle to protect Cam. ATL will drop 7 in coverage and rush only 4 guys, making it difficult to pass.
