Except that Fox would have stubbornly stuck with trying to get the run game going...which probably would have been a good idea.

Have to agree. Telling of Rivera to just quit so quickly on the game plan. .. Got punched in the mouth and he backed down. Also telling of Cam's immaturity in reading and decision making.

I'm pretty sure Rivera has nothing to do with the offense, and one of the downsides of Chud is that he greatly prefers to pass.

It's Chud, not Rivera. In general I prefer a coach that won't micro manage his OC, as Fox did regularly. Though in this one instance I wouldn't have minded that.

Last year, Chud ignored the run game early too. I didn't mind so much because he had no time to really install and teach the O. We were not going anywhere, and I looked at the first few games as extended preseason. This year is not like that, we need to win some games. That was a real poor job by Thud.

edit: what kind of disconnect must there be in the org, to spend so much on RBs and not involve them in a game plan? Crazy shit.

Well the one thing early on when they tried the option a few times, it looked as if Cam was very indecisive. More like ok, we want you to make it look like the option, hesitate but give it to the back no matter what.

It looks to me like the coaches are hammering Cam too hard not to run. Too much protecting the investment. Not having time to install the offense might have helped last year. Cam may have a little too much on his plate currently with all the no huddle stuff they are trying. Over-analysis = Paralysis.

Cam was probably still in shock because you told him evolution was fake and the earth is only 6000 years old.

if that analysis is correct it shows those first few running plays were there, big gains for cam that he didn't take. that's on cam. he's the one chud referred to as missing reads in the run game.
then chud went retarded, according to that analysis again, like he tended to do last year. cam made a couple mistakes, but chud sucked it up.
it looks awesome when its working, but obviously he's not hard to outsmart. bad playcalling makes the o look bad.
