unofficially, we're 100% injury free after this game.

I think they set a record for most offsetting penalties in one game.

Ultimately, this is all that matters.

May I state first that I HATE the chat. There is nothing better after a game to me than reading the game thread, and the chat robs that from me (and others like me). Either find a way to log the chat for the rest of us to read, or just use the board, this thread has suffered because of the chat.

Anyway, I would like to get everyone's thought on Ken Lucas eating his first piece of toast. Was it just one of those things that happen, or should we be concerned?

Also, what exactly could Wesley have done to avoid that flag? I was in mid-bitch for him letting up at the end when he got hit for "Roughing the Passer." I want to see a blindside hit like that result in a fumble, and it looked like Wesley held up right at the end instead of running through him. And he still got flagged. Really. To add insult, when McCree lays someone out Madden-style in the endzone, we get another penalty? For playing football?

To be fair, Weinke got a bs penalty himself. Did anyone else notice a Browns player hold up on Weinke after that on what looked like a sure sack? He ran past Weinke and touched him tag style lol, and of course Chris completed a strike for a first down.

Either way, I'm loving the way this team can run the ball. If we can just start getting off the field on 3rd down we might be dangerous.

    a few observations...

--Mike Wahle looks as good as advertised.

--When did we reprise the west coast offense?

--Jamal Robertson and Marlon McCree belong on this team.

--Steve Smith is a funny little SOB.

--John Kasay is kicking the ball way too low. FG's and kickoffs.

--Doug Johnson is still a terrible quarterback.

--Kris Jenkins is still a beast.

--The reserve O-linemen had a much better game this week.

--Does Rod Gardner still play for us?

--As much I liked Efrem Hill's TD, he still has little chance of making the team.

--Still worried about our ability to cover the TE.

--I really, really like Kindal Moorehead. We're damn deep on the line.

--Does Weinke have to be such a deadbeat? Have a cup of coffee, or something.

--Carolina v. Cleveland might be the ugliest uniform matchup in football.

yeah, that guy is 7'2". Despite that, I really wish I had seen D. Thompson play in his heyday. If they could dunk back then, he might be remembered in the same way.

    Efficiency

At 3-12 on third downs and 0-2 in the red zone, we lose that game to a better team.....imho.

Chat's fine. Once the regular season starts, people will be commenting in the game threads and chat, and therefore I'll start doing it, too.
