They're definitely not apathetic; I'd say that they're damaged. When things go wrong they get down quickly, but they got loud in key moments and like I said, the PA guy did a really good job of inciting that. Maybe 25% of the upper deck was empty, though.

Fox must have done a good job enhancing the sound.

I'm with you on TD unfortunately. Made a couple big plays at the end of the Chicago game, but he's mostly been invisible.

Cam does look pretty incredible. Hopefully that continues and the defense/special teams can just be less shitty. The Detroit game and the 2nd half of the Chicago game still gives me some hope for the D.

I don't mean to give that impression. They were loud, but when Dalton would fuck up it was loud complaining rather than loud encouragement. I was pretty impressed with them overall, especially since it was not a full house. The stadium was actually nice too. It definitely has a lot more character than generic BoA.

When I get home tomorrow I'll post some pics, including a cheerleader with the best legs I've ever seen.

You're right. You're definitely right here, and I admit it. Harper and DeCoud, and I fucking lose my mind and want to kill everyone, but you're 100% right - if they press, they release, and it's those guys. Jesus Christ.

That said - I'd like to see more in short downs. I really would. And when they do, we're pretty solid.

I'll definitely back off, because you make a fantastic point with the safeties....but it's not black and white on either side of the debate, and I'd like to see it more at the very least, in short downs.

Big props by the way, for hitting it in Cinci in Panther blue. I figured either you were gonna get your ass kicked in a urinal, but the fact you came back in one piece, you get respect, lol.

Glad you pointed out that Davis has been having a rough season...not terrible, but not good either. He's been a bigger problem than Kuechly, though 59's been getting called out a lot more.

We're a little like that at BoA.

It's weird thinking of the Detroit game.

We looked really good. Very strong...and it's just crumbled since then.

I wonder...if they make those FGs, if we don't get down sooner, and I wonder if the collapse happens there. Who knows. Or maybe Pitt just exposed something very very wrong, and now everyone's attacking it.

It's gap control and tackling. By the entire front 7. Seems simple, but with a bad secondary....eh well, it's just a mess. No pass rushers don't help.

    Fuck Ealy.

The Bernard run at least had some comedic value. Everyone in our front seven got magnetized to a blocker like some sort of video game glitch.

You're not wrong to want to see something different, and I wouldn't say that McDermott has done a great job this season, but at the same time he's the best coach this team currently has. Actually one thing they could do that would fit Norman's inability to press and the safeties being terrifying in coverage is to mix in some of Seattle's Cover 3 where the corners drop and take the deep outside thirds while the safeties come up to take away the underneath routes. More underneath zones would definitely be a nice change given how easy it has been for teams to get those short completions.

There was only one Bengals fan who was really obnoxious, but he refused to talk shit to me and instead harassed some smaller Panthers fans who got the aforementioned Olsen TD ball from Cam. Security calmed him down as soon as that situation started up too, which was nice to see. The rest of the fans gave me shit about being so loud, but respected that I was just cheering my team and responded by trying to be louder for their guys.
