IMO, the FG was the only option on the 4th and 6. Then if you get it, and the onsides kick, you at least have a couple of shots at the endzone in decent field position and gave Jake a couple of minutes to rest. I thought that was a horrible coaching decision, but again, that's just me.

It could go either way, and I see their logic in going for the FG.

And Piper, I don't agree that consecutive three and outs was a must, because we had all timeouts. What we couldn't do was what we did, giving them a penalty and a long catch that shouldn't have happened.

Going for it on 4th and 6 was the right call, because we probably wouldn't have had time, assuming we somehow get the onsides backs, to get into the endzone.

OK, say youre right, and Jake gets the ball back. He gets a TD. Its still 13-10. ANOTHER onsides? Another miracle drive? I just dont see it.

I can see their logic too, lol. Avoid shut out.

BUt didnt we only have TWO time outs?

    Huh?

It was 13-3 - we make the FG, and it's 13-6. We get the onsides kick and score a TD, and we're tied. Or was I watching a different game?

I can't argue the field goal. We hadn't done a damn thing all day and weren't likely to have a sudden resurgeance so avoid the shut out. Yeah, it's giving up, but I gave up on them before half time - held a tiny hope for a half time turn around, but they came out just as flat. Moose is thinking he made the right choice.

Well, it wasn't likely we'd go undefeated the rest of the season, so maybe it was good to get the loss out of the way now and get humiliated. Maybe now the guys can get an attitude and KEEP it regardless of the rest of the season. Ok, I can hope can't I?

I thought we had all three, but I might have missed one. If we only had two, that changes it a bit. But I don't think it would have been a huge loss without it.

Probably not enough time for all of that to play out.

Yeah. The lost challenge was on the Gage catch, after the FG.
