Panthers v Chargers game thread....

I don't recall any 3 options in the second half/after Cam did that run close to the goal for a first and tweaked his left knee (I think that was the second or third drive)

maybe it was because of the knee, don't know, but it does seem for the past coupla games the 3 option hasn't been a staple like it has in the past.

Maybe that was kinda a blessing in disguise. more traditional runs followed and we managed to sustain drives and chew some clock.

It didnt look awefully serious on the replay even tho Heath Evans tried to make a big deal about it, never know tho i guess. Was nice to see him play thru it and let others step up and carry the load.

 

Was Reggie Wells one of ours at some point or am i getting confused with someone else.

Surprised Garry Williams graded out positively, saw him getting shoved back a bit. But they all appeared to do well on the screens. Sometimes Bell flat out wiffs, been down on him since Denver.

Think they have Gross as our best lineman on the year FWIW.

 

I enjoy PFF's analysis, but their grades are so subjective as to be almost meaningless.

Williams had a better game this week. He had some issues but much improved. Worried about him on the side of Garay so I did watch him a bit - I don't like Williams so it was a pleasant surprise. Which, that's one thing about PFF. They don't care about what Garry Williams did six weeks ago or when he was benched. It's a useful perspective.

Wasn't at all surprised about the end analysis.

Both tackles struggled for a bit through that stretch Cam did. Gross has responded well since.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned or discussed ellsewhere, but what are the opinions on DJ Campbell's production the last wo games he's played? He's looked decent to me. I've got the last tow games taped and we'll be watching him on replay of them to see better....
