I wonder if we plan on reworking his deal so we can keep him longer an lessen this year's cap hit? Smith, Colbert and Gardner make a pretty good trio, IMHO. If Carter can work in as a deep threat we will be in good shape at wideout. Proehl may want to go ahead and think about retirement. Atleast we made this move before camp started so he did not have to work in that heat first.

Am I the only one who doesn't want Prohl to retire? :(

I think it will be Smith , Gardner , Proehl.

Colbert will compete with Hankton for a special teams spot...

On another note, why in the fuck has #87 been assigned to TE Dan Curley????

Does this mean Gardner will not be wearing that number? Not that it matters, but I am just curious.

I think it is about time Hankton stops taking up a roster spot for STs duties. The guy is roughly 35 years old and is JUST a STs gunner. We need a bona-fied 4th WR to suit up on Sundays. Surely, somebody can take over Karl's STs duties and perform them adequately. While I'm on it, jettison Jason Kyle's ass too.
