Good for you. I guess it makes me a shitty fan, but I've stopped going to games (even when offered free tickets) because I enjoy it more watching on TV. If the stadium atmosphere ever improves, someone let me know.

Nah doesn't make you any less of a fan. I just still get a rush coming out of the tunnel and seeing the open field and players. Watching the games on todays televisions (High Def, and 3D in some circumstances) not to mention DVRs where you can pause and take a shit, get a beverage, drive to go get a pizza) makes viewing almost like being there. I think the league is realizing that and doing things to make the game experience better. The Packers got some super sized new monitor, and several stadiums have installed Wi-Fi. I don't know what BoA had going on before because I played hell getting my IPhone using AT&T service to receive consistent updates to ESPN fantasy sports. Some days were better than others. I have been kicking around selling my tickets if not PSLs if the Panthers have a nice season just for the above mentioned reasons

I heard that Goodell is trying to figure out ways to make the NFL stadium experience more like European soccer where the fans are more engaged. I hope he can figure something out because I still love going to college football games, but the NFL is my least favorite professional sport to attend.

    edit:
And it does make me a shitty fan. We're the ones who are responsible for giving the team a homefield advantage.

There are cities which definitely give their teams a huge advantage as in noise. Green Bay, Pittsburgh, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Oakland and Kansas City all are great NFL cities. Comparing Charlotte to those cities is stupid. When they put a good product on the field or court (see early Hornets games) people came out and made noise.

That's the point, though. In Europe the fans show up, make noise, and have a good time even if their team is shitty. You don't need a great team to cause a good stadium environment. The NFL experience is much too corporate and sanitized, probably because of the PSL phenomenon.

I wonder what European ticket prices are on average to NFL tickets?

Simple solution. Cheaper ticket and beer prices :punk: Kick up the rowdy factor

I couldn't care less about the "stadium experience". WTF...give me a seat, tee the ball up, and play the game, hopefully win. That's all I need.
