no. And yeah, the other two are less likely - TE because the need isn't there for the production we bring, and OL because it's ass-awful value. Especially with what we have - if we wanted to have another option at RG, I'd much rather it be a vet, but that aside, I have a very hard time believing that a guy like Matua couldn't step in and do just as good a job as Joseph, a round later.

I'd trade into the teens for DeAngelo Williams.

Extra third rounder would make that easier if the Bears go for Manning.

Which they'd have to do very, very soon for it to take. Carolina would get 7 days to match, so it's 8 days before the draft.

    Which is tomorrow.

Tomorrow is the end of the RFA period.

if the Bears don't make an offer tomorrow, they can't. Manning becomes exclusive rights after that.

(I'm hoping they make the offer)

If we like a certain player, more than the others, perhaps. We've honed in on players before. Didn't we trade up for Gamble? I believe so.

This is how we work each year. We tend to be aggressive in certain positions in FA, leaving our draft options more focussed, and transparent.

WP, I wouldn't really scream about those picks. We could use a safety. And if we really don't like Mathis, Josephs pretty damn good.

Fowler made a good point in his Q&A recently when someone asked about trading up for Reggie Bush.

No way I see them pulling that big a trade, but into the teens? That's not so farfetched.
