Did he cost us much more than a roster spot?

Foster never made the roster I don't think. But cost us a 6th round draft pick.

Agreed Natrone Means was a luxury and was one of those, if he's healed and can play, we've got a find, if not he can be cut, deals.

Floyd wasn't what was expected, but there have been worse. I don't understand why anyone would say Griffith.

Best success I'd have to say is Brad Hoover up to this point, just because he was NOTHING previously. Undrafted rookie from a small school that converted from RB to FB and plays pretty darned good at it.

That's who I was thinking, but Timmy hurt us as much if not more if for no other reason than we could have drafted Eddie George. Of course revisionist history is always easy.

Hindsight is indeed 20/20, but Eddie George was considered money at the time. He was much better in college than Biak was and everyone thought we would take Eddie anyways. Timmy was a reach, and a bad one.

The other one we always hear is McNair over Collins. Who knows how that would have worked, and I cannot fault the Panthers for taking Collins. Who knew he would be so inconsistent. And what about Tyrone Poole over Ty Law? Again, speculation.

But Eddie George should have been here. It was stupid to pass him up even 15 minutes before they did it...

To me the real impact of Timmay was that he kept the starting spot for all those years and never really had a good year. Not only did he keep us from drafting Eddie George but he kept us from drafting any other suitable replacement for him for years and kept us from getting a free agent. Imagine how much better we would have been for all those years if we had found a quality tailback.

cant remember...Capers cost us a pick as well

Howard Griffith.....that was the worst decision by the Panthers(letting him walk) on a RB/FB
