The Carolina Panthers will increase ticket prices by an average $5.50 for the 2006 season.
Director of ticket sales Phil Youtsey said prices will increase between $4 and $8, depending on seat location. Carolina's average ticket price will be $67, which will rank around the middle of the league.
Invoices were mailed to Personal Seat License holders on Thursday.

I know slew of people that had been riding the fence for a few years now that kind of had their hands forced by the rising of PSL and ticket prices. It kind of sucks, but hey, there will be a bunch of new PSL holders come the 2006 season. I think mid-Feburary was the cut-off date to buy PSLs at their old rate before the hike. I didn't have to worry though, I finally broke down and bought PSLs before the start of last season.

I guess I'll pick my PSLs up after the cap purge of 2009, when we go 3-13 and being seen at a Panther football is no longer "fashionable." I'll score them for $500 pair from a soccer mom who had them awarded as part of a divorce settlement.

yep...mine too. but that is about a 54% total increase since 1996. not bad considering that most (if not all) non club seats have more than doubled since then. i like the price certainty of my 10 year lease. i don't think they can increase my ticket prices for the next 4 or 5 years.
