When Oakland made a good play, Stockton's voice became so excited, loud and high pitched it was hilarious. He didn't do that for us even for good plays. But again, who cares. A team that can play so well like we have in some games and then throw in a stinker like Tampa or Minn (both where it was more then just Jake stink) isn't going to get constant admiration from the press.

Heck, how many here were worried we'd throw out a stinker against "terrible Oakland". If the Panthers own fans don't completely believe in their "goodness" why should others?

The bottom line Jake was awful and I'm not one to make excuses for his performance, but Jake's surgery is extremely rare for a QB (I think Anderson at Cincy is the other one.) Having a son that has comeback from the same surgery it takes 18 months to two years to be at 100%. The strength is probably better than it was before surgery, but touch and accuracy is the last thing to come back. I like his effort and the guy has heart; he's still better than anyone else we have. But I think we can expect to continue to see an inconsistent performance. I bet by next year's training camp, he will say the same thing

No, it doesn't depend on anything other than being able to read the English language. Magnus said, "The rest of the team, with a few exceptions, hasn't been any better." There is no interpretation of that statement that makes it anything less than incredibly stupid. It was a completely retarded thing to say, and magnus only said it because he's very sensitive about anyone criticizing Delhomme. Not one single Panthers player was as bad as Jake against Oakland, but magnus claimed that most of the team was. That was an idiotic thing to say.
