Baldinger usually gushes about Julius Pepper and Steven Smith.Hes been high on them on Sporting News radio the past few weeks as well. Billick has been pretty complimentary about Jake on the games he has called this year. The coverage was awful yesterday with cutting in from a commercial with the play in progress. Or not showing the penalty after a flag was thrown.

See, I just felt like they were trying their best to talk not talk about how bad the Raiders are.....I would have been OK if they would have just said...the Panthers are playing horribly and the Raiders still don't have a prayer....thats how bad they suck....You would have thought Walters was Brett Favre yesterday....It seems they go as the Panthers go...if they play bad, they ride them, if they play good they are high on them. I dont know, maybe its just me.

"Other than that, Delhomme was a 7-for-27 wreck. He's the second post-merger quarterback to throw four interceptions, complete less than 30 percent of his passes - and actually win the game.
The other? Ken Anderson, against the '75 Raiders, according to Stats, LLC."

Other than Dash's big play both offenses pretty much sucked all day.

Both D's came to play, that's for sure. The Raiders D obviously came to play, dumping D'Angelo had the desired affect.

Billick was being honest. He mentioned that Jake has never been the most accurate quarterback in the world, and it's a big reason why the team struggles on 3rd down.

I know that's kind of the elephant in the room around here, but he's right.

But he's also had some good things to say about him. Baldinger has always had some sort of Panthers crush, specifically a John Fox crush.

Thank you sweet Jesus that I didn't skip church, drive 3 1/2 hours to Oakland, spend $300 in tickets and concessions, and drive another 4 hours home to witness that abortion!

Peppers played up to his hype. First time I've seen him do that (in a real game) in ages.

The defense as a whole played well. Beason and Davis were their typically brilliant selves, but I was disturbed that Diggs didn't decide to show up until the 2nd half. I also expected Harris to be a lot more active considering the Raiders' run bias.

Gary Gibson outplayed Damione Lewis. Big time.

Offense. I'm wondering if Jake's elbow was acting up, because he couldn't hit water if he fell out of a freaking boat yesterday. I haven't seen a display like that since Jeff Lewis. Halfway through the third quarter, I was seriously wondering if Fox should bench Jake. I can't imagine the post game press conference if he did, but damn. And Jake obviously didn't have a clue why. He'd better square that shit this week or we will lose to Detroit.

Asomugha owned Smitty. I've never seen that happen before.

Apparently Jeff King couldn't run a route to save his life. Hard to be sure, though, with the way Jake was throwing.

Our interior OL got stoned by the Raiders' DTs. Our guard play was freaking pathetic.

As brilliant as Moose has played this year, he has also dropped several no excuse balls. I'm starting to remember why so many of us wanted to hit his ass with the door on his way out to Chicago.

Mark Jones had as much to do with yesterday's win as the defense did. He's been way better than I ever expected, and has been a solid addition to the team.

Jake was painful to watch. Underthrows, overthrows, poor timing....I mean I would expect a rookie to play better. There is no excuse for his horrific play. I never thought I would long for Kerry Collins...but...damn. He doesn't lose games.

It was a problem in 06 and 07, third downs. There was obviously an argument stating it was so, but not why. It wasn't historically a problem, 03-05 to where inaccuracy caused specific failure on 3rd down.

I don't think the poster stating that Fox rags us was specifically talking about Jake, FWIW. Only QB he mentioned was Walter.
