Yes, The information I have is that Fox is in control the tempo of the offense (for lack of a better term) I don't think that Fox is actually calling the play's but Henning is running the system that Fox wants run.

I'm no Henning fan myself and agree that if changes aren't made both in staffing and philosophy that it will be Fox's downfall, and I fully expect that at this point. Thats why I'm guardedly optimistic at Pantherfanz account of his Heisman run-in. I just can't kill Henning for everything based on the conversations I've had with people outside the organization.

Still, if it's philosophy that's working and plays that aren't, then Henning's misreacting to what Fox wants. He's calling stupid rather than the wanted conservative and that makes the pair a bad fit.

Nonetheless, that's some offensive meddling way past the level Seifert had ever touched. Of course, Seifert was actually a positive force for the offense in 99-00. It was 01 when the headset came off, which is when he was given "credit" for meddling.

I'm glad I don't have connections to the core workings of this staff anymore, for the most part, because I would have pissed someone off by now.

And it's not so much the idea that it's Dan Henning. I'm disappointed by most things with the offense, and even last year when others were saying that it was Fox, that I noted that if it's Fox then that's a problem as well. A worse one, because fixing it means pushing a head coach to change or relieving that head coach from his responsibilities in that manner.

Only once can I think of that happening, which was Dick Vermiel.

Just goes to show you how fortunate Dungy was to get an Indy team with an Offensive staff in place with Manning & Co. Same can be said about Gruden.

Agreed. I really hope Pitch is wrong and it's Henning, not Fox. If Fox is truly the culprit behind this assinine playcalling, it won't matter who we bring in for an OC -- our offense will suck as long as Fox is HC, or until he changes his mind.
