    Minter was responsible for the deep middle, which is where the play happened. Basically, he was to blame, even though the pass rush was pathetic.

    so was his effort. how about going for the ball and not running by it with your hand up.

    (it was a really nicely thrown ball)

    It was worse than even that; he didn't even try to wrap. I think he was trying to take the ball.

    Wasn't part of the 2nd team defense going up against the Giants starters on this play?

    It was interesting watching Eli. He still panics some, but the few passes he made were impressive. Seems the Giants were pumped up for this game. I get the feeling the Giants fans are going to be praising Eli one week and cursing him the next. I suspect the Giants won't end up at the bottom of their division this year, though.

    I noticed on the play-by-play recap that the offense ran left side only in the first quarter, then mostly right side from the 2nd quarter on. Where was Mathis lined up?
