So was Gamble getting schooled or were we just playing too far off? To see the Run D play that amazing and the Pass D to piss it away every fucking time was infuriating.

Finally saw Davis make some plays out there since the pass D kept giving up the 1st down. What a whallop to save the 1st down. Noticed Salley packed a punch too.

Thank God DW finally made an impact, both running and returning. That confidence should help him heaps. I guess Sheltons cut, but why, he made some nice runs when given a chance. He must have pissed in someones coffee. We know what Foster and Goings can do, id liked to have given him a chance with some so-called quality blocking.

Having Kemo, Jenks and Lewis in the middle sure makes things look different. If they can stay healthy were gonna be awesome.

    Carters gotta be the #3

Not convinced by Hill returning, wish Biddle had shown something returning kicks.

Kasays rockin, average kicker my ass.

He was 25 in % last year. That is worse than average.

Just when i thought that gamble was just getting schooled, he was pushed off on so bad that even moose johnston said that (chambers i think) got away with one.

And with carter, the one deep pass jake threw to him he barely jumped and had he jumped would have caught that one. granted, jake floated it, but smith or key would have caught that pass.

overall the offense looked really ugly. but, we got by with basically one option last year so i'm hoping that smitty really opens it up that much. granted, i'll take a superbowl full of ugly wins over 7-9 this year.

what I'm concerned about is having not one (hankton) but two (+ Hill) supposed WRs taking up spots on the active roster when neither of them can contribute worth a flip except in coverage or on punt returns. Haven't we only carried 4 WRs on game day in the past? Recently there was talk on here of running 4 WR sets . . . but we won't have our 4 best receivers on game day if we have to reserve two slots for a couple of specialists every week. IMO Biddle has looked sharper at WR than Hill but like Marshall I don't believe he has gotten any game time reps as PR either. Get a guy who WILL be contributing on downs (like marshall and williams) to be your return man. Get a guy like Seward or Colbert who will be useful on downs to take over for hankton too.
I must have been absent the day people here decided that we have more active slots to burn.

I can't believe nobody's talked about how bad Wharton played last night. He played horrible. I watched on tv and I can't tell you how many times I saw Wharton get put on his ass, whiff a guy, or just stand there like he's a spectator. I think part of Jake playing so badly was the left side playing like a pile of dogshit.

Those Gamecock players aren't worth a shit and he shouldn't even be in the league. He's like Terry Cousin--shouldn't have EVER been in the league--cause they both play like ass crack!:butt: :banginghe

with the exception of one unfortunate kickoff in the SB Kasay has been money for this team. I know he's getting old but he proved once again last night that he can still be counted on
btw - Baker looked good on KOs last night.)

the line really did play like shit as a whole that i can remember. i remember mathis, as well as wharton whiffing badly and maybe even wahle. I don't know if that what jake's problem was though. i said this last night before i read his comments today and that's that jake is such a rhythm qb and last night there was no chance for him to get a rhythm. from being backed up to the goal line twice and having to run, that's pretty much two series he didn't get a chance to throw. and the bullshit pass interference probably just killed his confidence a little more.

I meant to make a comment on that when we did the flip 90 or whatever its called to Williams. Wharton just let Roth thru and jumped straight to the second level. Had he put his hands on Roth, Williams could have made another nice play.

    % of field goals made

You have to get into the yardage break downs of those becuase pretty much everyone is 100% at the shorter distances. Once you get to 40+ he doesn't campare favorably to the league.

My only point is that he is in fact average if not a little below at this point in his career.
