nice run on 1st after the PI by Williams. And followed by an OK toss sweep - Hartwig is slow on pulls and that hampered things.

No matter how much they bitch and whine about it being a 2nd string OL for Miami, it's really awesome to see Jenkins manhandle a guard and get a clean hit on Harrington.

he was kinda crappy. Whole pass O was, but he was pretty crappy. Now that in a game would be awful - last week's chancy passes were better than this week's one good drive of two first downs.

    second observation . . .

our pass D looked almost like absolute dog shit

I can't imagine that we won't be MUCH tighter on the dink and dunk shit by Sept 10

btw - Chambers is just a badass mother fucker

    third observation . . .

This game just looked like a shoot from the hip vanilla version of turd with the exception of a great kick return and good 1st string D-line play. Seward will be starting at one of the LB positions and probably for the majority of the season. Anderson did some good work too.
I just gotta believe that we are staying so vanilla that our running game it's just going to look unimpressive. Our O-line really should be doing better though.

btw - any word yet on the Mathis shoulder injury?

you can save these up and post them all at once
    :agreed:

nice hit on Lemon by McClover. And I noticed, besides Anderson getting his 2nd sack in 3 games, he was also rushing from the strong side late in this game.

I think I made those observations in that exact same order.

    Did a bomb hit Charlotte?

I was encouraged by this game.

Run D was awesome. They couldn't move us. Jenks rocks. Davis, Seward, Draft, and Anderson all played really well.

Our short to intermeditate coverage always has been a weak spot. And Charbers will be tough now that Miami has a QB worth a damn. But we were tough to score againt, bottom line.

Running game, and blocking, was better except for short yardage. Still a concern.

Jake didn't make any horrid decisions that I can remember, though i missed the first quarter. He was high on a few, but we wasn't reckless.

Miami will be a good team this year.
