Starting a rookie QB with an overall solid team offensively might be a fair risk, but we aren't that. I don't know if Claussen will be solid one day or not, but I do think with the current state of the Panther offense, we could ruin a rookie QB even it was Peyton or Brady back there. Of course if indeed Fox and many/most of the coordinators are gone at the end of the season, what do they care?

Brees was considered a bust at San Diego? Really?? Since when? You need to look up Brees' stats before you make a comparison with Clausen again.

They were disappointed in him, and drafted Rivers. Bust is too strong, but . . .

I think Eli Manning and Marty Schottenheimer who coached Rivers in the Senior Bowl had more of a role to play than they were disappointed in Brees. The year Brees was drafted was the year he was selected to the Pro Bowl.

San Diego was so "disappointed" in Brees that they tagged him as a franchise player in 2005.

San Diego made a 5 year $50 million offer to Brees when he became a free agent. Sounds like a HUGE disppointment to me.......

Clausen will never be as good as Brees.....

I thought for sure the Bears were going to let the Panthers hang around and get back into the game... glad they "woke up" in time.

Good luck the rest of the season as you look to have some winnable games (49ers, Rams) coming up.. no teams fans deserve 0-16.

I guess I will see you all again the next time our teams play.

There are no more winnable games this year. Even with the 4 interceptions the Panthers got off your sorry offense they still couldn`t put up any points. Nice avatar, dick.

Most of the time that's what I see on his college tape, too. He has to practically give himself a hernia to throw a 15 yard out.

Yes, and same to you. Enjoy winning what appears to be a cakewalk of a divisional title now.
