    So the DL is not reacting, and not playing gaps, and they're firing off now. All go, and they're getting pressure....

    I watched Norwood play gap control earlier, which is fine...but a staple for Rivera Ds are DLs playing simple, and firing off at the passer.

    Can we do more of this please? Can we play simple, attacking defense? It works.

    I understand, btw, that much of that is a result of the screen and the multiple run attacks that were hurting us....just saying...

    Its a 34, but its not being played as an exotic 34. We're seeing preseason base defense, and cant convert. Cam isn't ready. He doesn't suck, but he's not ready.

    We cant go into the season with him starting at QB.

    Garry Williams whiffed on that 3rd down play. Had he not, there's a potential completion. Otah is not Tony Boselli, but he is missed right about now.
