Trading for Gardner would be nuts.

not for a 6th or 7th....it would prevent a bidding war if he is cut.

The bidding war would (or should) never get back to his current salary though. Y'all would be overpaying salary-wise.

Maybe we plan to rework his deal if we get him.

Trade + renegotiated deal = not so bad

Essentially, it's what the Broncos were doing with Sauerbrun.

Anybody know who Gardner's agent is?

If you can rework it to where Gardner gave y'all money to play there and the Skins gave you a pick to take him, then the deal would be about right.

    He's not too good.

I have not seen him play a whole lot. I know he had potential and that the skins offense has not been much since he got there. If we could get him cheap and with a deal that lets us cut him after a year or two with out much of a cap hit if he sucks then I would do it. Put him in the mix with Smith and Colbert and let Jake throw him the ball and he might look good. He is certainly an upgrade for our number three receiver position.

35 year old linebackers coming off major knee injuries are not valuable enough to give up a draft pick. That being said I would like to see him back here for the minimum. I would not be surprised if he contributed about as much as Jessie Armstead did last year though.
