Johnson would no longer be of high value for us with the crew we have now. Possibly a speedster later.
I really don't think Leftwich is a need either. I won't cry if we get him, although I will have my reservations until he proves the leg is not an issue on Sundays. Mags, should be replying shortly with "That's a convenient position to take" or something to that effect.
Gross...nah, there are players of similar value to be had in the second and even the third round.
Trufant is the guy we should be targeting. If he's gone and Gross is still there, OK. However, trade down would look pretty good, too, at that point.

Thats the craziest thing I've heard on our draft so far.

Yeah lets get another W for a team that has plenty of servicable WR's and is a running based offense. Get the WR later, draft the greater need early if the valua is there, and it will be.

If Johnson is there and the Panthers pass on him it would be like Eddie George, Vonnie Holiday all over again. You take the best player available no if ands or buts. If for some reason he slips and the Panthers don't want him (only god knows why not) they should trade down a couple spots.

nah, not really. If you're concerned about the leg, you're concerned about the leg. I'm not. 32 teams passed him physically.

The problem is, we have lots of serviceability. Howard is decent, Witherspoon is decent, Minter is decent. Heck, with a little help even Tuten looked on the fair side of decent.

You don't pass on top 5 players in the draft because of need.

"value" it's the cool word to use when talking draft. You know nothing about value.
