    His non compete clause ends in June and I'm sure he's itching to get back on the air locally . . . It would be interesting to see him go head to head against WFNZ in the PM Drive Time slot :) :) . . . What do yall think?

    I think he should fuck off and they should expand The Sports Yap to 3 or 4 hours locally after Rome. Get rid of that Pat OBrien rehab experiment and certainly don't bring Packer in.

    Bryce announced yesterday on facebook that he is leaving the station. I wonder who will replace him?

    If he comes back he better have something better than his tired ol' schtick and the unbearable "Johnny from Effingham" crap.....more of that junk could be a career ender.

    Think Packman could be good on 730 FoxSports if he gets back to his old format, of having 2 co-host one a sports writer the other an ex athlete, and actually talk sports again, rather than trying to stur up a reaction by trashing a fan base.

    I still haven't heard what happened at 730 ... did Bryce quit? Did they fire Bryce? Did his contract run out and they not renew because of revenue? Anyone heard?

    If Packer returns to Charlotte, broadcasting from Charlotte, he'll be better than before for a couple of reasons.

    1) He'll be determined to take marketshare from WFNZ.

    2) WFNZ will be determined to NOT give up marketshare to him.

    End result will be that sports talk radio in Charlotte market gets better overall. We'll all win with more options in the market.

    I'm not as sure about that if he simulcasts from another market, where his main emphasis may not be Charlotte marketshare.

    I'll be pissed if he replaces the Loose Cannons and I'm not able to hear about every famous person Pat O'Brien has ever had lunch with.

    I've been a big fan of WFNZ since the beginning, but can't stand the guys in the afternoon. If Pack does come back on the air at 730, I'll be listening to him as he has to be better than those guys at the Fan.
